Suspect a Bug in WAPT tool - using GET/POST method

Hi all,

I am new to WAPT,I am using WAPT Pro 2.1 trial Version. When I recording a web application using WAPT, It automatically records the web pages and its properties as per the "GET/POST" request method.

After completing the recording process, I "Verify" the test without changing the properties.

Issue I faced:

After successful verification of the first 2 Pages, I got an 405 error at the 3rd Page.

Note:

405 error:specified HTTP method is not allowed for the requested resource (HTTP method GET is not supported by this URL).

Below, Please find the Example:

Here with the “Request method” automatically detected by WAPT Pro at the time of recording:

Page1:--->GET Method

Page2:--->GET Method

Page3:--->POST Method

Page4:--->POST Method

Page5:--->POST Method

Page6:--->GET Method

 

Here with the Out Put I got:

Page1:--->GET Method--->Pass

Page2:--->GET Method--->Pass

Page3:--->POST Method--->Fail

Page4:--->POST Method

Page5:--->POST Method

Page6:--->GET Method

 

Questions:

1) I verified the properties of the 3rd page,"POST" method only used on that page. It looks fine for me.

Why I am getting error even I used "POST" method?

 

2) While I am recording the web site using WAPT Pro ,it automatically detected the request method of the 3rd page as a “POST” method,but at the time of “Verification” or “Running” process, it uses “GET” method for the 3rd page.

Why WAPT tool use the “GET” method instead of “POST” method, without changing the method settings manually?

Please, check a log of verification. You will see an actual method that WAPT used for Page3. If you send the log to support@loadtestingtool.com we will give you more recommendations.
